An OTL is for insurance agents in Ontario. This license allows you to represent one insurer and sell their products. RIBO license is for insurance brokers in Ontario that present and sell products for multiple insurance companies. CAIB, while used for licensing in other provinces outside of ON & AB, is mostly cosmetic. A CAIB designation is earned by completing all 4 CAIB exams and signals to employers and customers that you are an expert broker with advanced training.
